Barbara has been a registered nurse in Massachusetts for the last 27 years. For the past 20 years she has been assisting seniors and thier caregivers with thier unique needs. Barbara has been a case manager in Long Term Care and rehab settings for over 10 years. She is well informed on Medicare, Medicaid regulations, as well as assisted living and nursing home placement. Barbara is well informed of every community service available to the senior population in thier home.
Barbara is an associate member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers and a Legal Nurse Consultant.
She is a member of the Alzheimer's Association Advocacy, National Association of Director of Nurses, and The American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants.
Barbara has extensive experience in all aspects of elderly healthcare from the home, hospital, rehab., assisted living, senior housing, and long term care. She is experienced with consulting with long term care facilities on policy and procedures and regulations related to long term care of the chronically ill in a nursing home setting.
At this time, most insurance policies don't cover the cost of geriatric care management services. Leaving Rest Easy Eldercare unable to accept Medicaid, Medicare or private insurance. However for those who have long term insurance, there may be selective coverage. Your Policies for Medicare and Medicaid and private insurances,however, may cover other needs you may require that are recommended by us.
